Question: Will I look orange?
Answer: This is the most commonly asked question, and the answer is no. The sunless solution used has a brown or violet undertone to ensure you do not turn orange.
Question: How long will my tan last?
Answer: Your tan should last 5 to 7 days depending on your skin type and how well you take care of your sunless tan. It’s important to keep your skin moisturized, and avoid long showers or baths and hot tubs. Salt water exposure or a chlorinated pool can also shorten your spray tan. We offer post care products specifically formulated to help extend the length of your tan.
Question: What if it is raining on the day of my appointment?
Answer: You do not want to get wet after your appointment so if there is a chance of rain, please wear long sleeve shirt and pants and closed toe shoes. An umbrella is also recommended.
Question: When should I book my appointment?
Answer: If you are booking for an event where you will be wearing a specialty fabric outfit, you should book two days prior to your event. Otherwise, booking the day prior to your event is recommended.
Question: Is the spray tan applied in a booth?
Answer: No, the spray tan is applied by a trained spray tan technician. This ensures that the application is contoured to your body.
Question: What forms of payment do you accept?
Answer: We accept all major credit cards and/or cash for payment.
Question: What do I wear during my session?
Answer: You can choose to be dressed, or not. This is up to your comfort level. You can wear a dark swimsuit or underwear. The solution will wash out of most clothing. Men and minors are required to wear an undergarment. If wearing an undergarment it is recommended to wash the undergarment as soon as possible.
Question: How long does the session take?
Answer: The application of the tanning solution takes less than 5 minutes. The total appointment time should not exceed 15 minutes for in salon and 30 minutes for mobile appointments. For group sessions, each additional client is 15 minutes extra.
Question: The solution came off during my first rinse. Should I be concerned?
Answer: No. The tanning solution is comprised of both bronzers and DHA. The bronzer provides two benefits; 1. It provides instant gratification, and 2. It allows your spray tan technician to see where the solution is being applied. Bronzers are essentially make-up for your skin. The active ingredient in the solution, DHA, is sugar based and reacts with the amino acids in your skin to create the appearance of a tan. When you rinse off for the first time, the bronzer will come off to reveal your actual tan underneath.
Question: Will the spray tan erase existing tan lines or uneven skin?
Answer: While the spray tan will not completely fix tan lines or uneven skin, the overall darker complexion will make them less visible.
Question: I have fair skin and have never been able to achieve a tan. Will I see results?
Answer: Yes! Your spray tan technician will recommend a solution that best matches your skin type, while ensuring a naturally bronzed look.
Question: Does the sunless solution provide any protection from UV rays?
Answer: No. Sunless solution does not contain any sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn. Repeated exposure of unprotected skin to UV light may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer, and other harmful effects.
Question: I am going on vacation. Should I avoid water activities?
Answer: We recommend avoiding long showers or baths and hot tubs. Salt water exposure or a chlorinated pool can also shorten your spray tan. To maximize your tan, and your vacation, we offer moisturizers and tan extenders at an additional cost.
Question: I am tanning for a wedding, or critical event. When should I schedule my appointment?
Answer: We recommend a trial session at least two weeks before the event, and we do not recommend getting a spray tan as a first time client immediately prior to the event. We recommend scheduling your appointment at least 48 hours prior to the event.
Question: I am tanning for a special event. Will the bronzers transpose onto my outfit?
Answer: Bronzers can potentially transfer to specialty fabric. To avoid this, we recommend tanning at least 48 hours prior to your event so you have the opportunity to rinse twice.
Question: Do you offer group discounts?
Answer: Yes! For groups of three or more, each client receives $10 off. For groups of 5 or more, each client receives $15 off.
Question: How does the rapid solution work?
Answer: Rapid solution can be rinsed off within 1 to 3 hours after your appointment, whereas the standard solution needs to be left on for at least 8 to 10 hours. The tan doesn't develop any faster, it just allows you to rinse the bronzer off sooner.
Question: I am pregnant or nursing. Is spray tanning safe?
Answer: We are not medically trained, and cannot give medical advice. If you have concerns we recommend consulting with your physician. We would recommend nose filters and eyes shields. We also recommend wearing a bra/swimsuit top if you are nursing.
Question: If I am running late to my appointment will my appointment be canceled?
Answer: If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment start time we cannot guarantee that we will be able to honor your appointment. We understand things happen, so please give us a call if you think you will be late for your appointment.
Question: I have a small apartment/office/business. Where will you set-up your equipment?
Answer: Your technician can set-up wherever you prefer. Your technician will require an electrical outlet and a space big enough for the pop-up tent (7 feet tall and 4 feet wide). We recommend an area that has adequate lighting.
Question: Can my kid(s) and/or pet(s) be in the room during the session?
Answer: To avoid unwanted exposure, damage to the equipment, and scheduling delays, we ask that your child(ren) and/or pet(s) are not in the room during the session.
Question: My technician is 5 minutes late to my appointment. Should I be worried?
Answer: For mobile appointments, we ask clients to allow a 30 minute time window from the appointment start time. This means we may arrive up to 15 minutes early or up to 15 minutes after your appointment start time. This is to allow a buffer for traffic, accidents, weather, and other instances out of our control.
